COCOON The Migrations of Many, Steelton, Pennsylvania, a performance-installation by Kate Browne in the small industrial town of Steelton in Pennsylvania.
"Thousands of people migrated to Steelton from Europe and the US South to work in the steel mill. Here I was interested in interviewing people about that migration, and the union and town then and now. I believe this was a place where I could experiment with lighted props, images from the past, interior white and yellow light, and create a surround of lights around the Cocoon." Kate Browne
